Meet Liz Hirsch

Head Trainer | New Beginnings Stable | Canton, Georgia

For as long as she can remember, horses have been at the center of Liz Hirsch’s life. As Head Trainer at New Beginnings Stable, Liz has dedicated herself to developing confident riders, knowledgeable horsemen, and successful horse-and-rider partnerships built on trust, patience, and correct fundamentals. The mission of the stable is centered on helping horses and riders perform successfully in the hunter arena through proper training and education.

Located in Canton, Georgia, New Beginnings Stable is more than a riding program—it’s a training environment where riders learn not only how to ride, but also how to understand, communicate with, and develop their horses. Liz believes that true success comes from creating a partnership in which both horse and rider understand one another and work together as a team. The foundation of that partnership is built through consistency, patience, and correct horsemanship.

Liz’s Training Philosophy

“Every horse and every rider deserve the opportunity to learn correctly.”

Liz believes that great riding is about far more than ribbons and trophies. Her goal is to help riders develop confidence, responsibility, and an understanding of the horse beneath them. She emphasizes strong equitation, effective communication, and a balanced riding position that allows horse and rider to succeed together.

Whether working with a first-time rider, a competitive show student, or a horse needing additional training, Liz focuses on building a solid foundation. She understands that every horse and rider learns differently, and she tailors her instruction to meet the needs of each individual partnership.

At New Beginnings Stable, riders are encouraged to become students of horsemanship, learning not only how to ride, but also how to care for, understand, and advocate for their horses. Liz believes that a rider who understands the “why” behind the training process is better prepared for long-term success both in and out of the show ring. This philosophy aligns with the stable’s commitment to teaching riders and horses to work together effectively and successfully.
